Fire Detection System

A Fire Detection System is designed to monitor environments and provide early warning of a potential fire outbreak. These systems detect heat, smoke, or flames and trigger an alarm to alert occupants and emergency responders. Fire Detection Systems can operate independently for early warning purposes or be integrated with gas suppression systems to automatically activate fire control measures.

Fire Detection Systems consist of various components, including:

  • Smoke and heat detectors – Identify fire hazards at an early stage.

  • Alarm systems – Notify personnel and trigger emergency protocols.

  • Control panels – Process detection signals and activate necessary responses.

These systems are essential for fire safety, whether used on their own or as part of a larger fire protection strategy.

Fire suppression systems are commonly used in:

IT or Server rooms

Data centers

Critical assets

Generator enclosures

Archive document storage

Library collections

Invictus Fire Specialists provides expert design, supply, installation, and maintenance of Fire Detection Systems. Our highly skilled and certified technicians ensure top-quality installation and service, strictly adhering to industry regulations and safety standards.

o

Gas Suppression System

A Gas Suppression System is a specialized fire protection solution designed to extinguish fires using a gaseous agent rather than water or foam. These systems are ideal for environments where traditional suppression methods could cause damage, such as server rooms, data centers, archives, and electrical control rooms.

Gas Suppression Systems typically rely on a Fire Detection System to identify a fire at an early stage. Once detected, the system automatically releases a suppression agent to extinguish the fire by reducing oxygen levels, interrupting the chemical reaction, or cooling the area—depending on the type of gas used.

o

FIRE RETARDANT FOR THATCH & LAPAS

Fire Retardant treatment is a vital solution for protecting thatch roofs and lapas from fire hazards. This specialized application reduces the material’s flammability, helping to prevent rapid fire spread. It’s ideal for lodges, homes, resorts, and entertainment areas where natural thatch is used.

The fire retardant is applied directly to the thatch, creating a protective barrier that resists ignition and minimizes fire damage. This treatment is safe, effective, and designed to comply with fire safety standards—providing peace of mind without compromising the natural look of your structure.

o

Fire Sprinkler System

The first line of defence for an emergency fire will be your automatic fire sprinkler system. The sprinkler system will either prevent the further spread of the fire or in some instances might even extinguish the fire.

Automatic fire sprinkler systems enable the occupants of the building sufficient time to evacuate and prevent the structure from total collapse or loss.

Invictus Fire Specialists & it’s contractors are leaders in the design and installation of commercial fire sprinkler systems to meet your fire protection needs and requirements. We will provide a full system design and pre-approval from ASIB. We will take care of the Sprinkler System ASIB certification. Training

Fire Fighting: Fire losses amount to millions of rand per annum in damage to buildings, materials, and assets, as well as the tragic loss of life. Our firefighting courses are designed to help delegates understand fire safety, fire prevention, good housekeeping, and how to correctly manage a firefighting emergency.

On completion of the firefighting courses, delegates will have a better understanding of the theoretical aspects and elements of fire, as well as the practical opportunity to use a firefighting extinguisher and extinguish a real fire.

Having employees in a company that are trained in the skill of firefighting and understand the different types of fires, is not only a legal requirement but a good management decision that could potentially reduce losses and damages that a fire could cause. Fire damage to premises, materials and disruption at work results in business downtime, loss of revenue earnings, and possible loss of life of employees and visitors, with catastrophic consequences.

Sending employees to attend a firefighting course will assist with health and safety compliance, as we empower your employees with the confidence and ability to extinguish fires before it rages out of control.  The firefighting courses are fully accredited by the Health and Safety SETA.
